A modernist estate in the heart of Croydon

About

The Brownborne Estate is located in the Park Hill area of Croydon and consists of 70 modernist houses, a 5 minute walk to Lloyd Park and Park Hill Park as well as being only a 10 minute walk from East Croydon station. It is sited on Brownlow Road, Chichele Gardens, Langton Way, Reynolds Way, Sudbury Gardens and Willow Mount. The estate is a wonderful place to live, with fantastic communal grounds that have been beautifully landscaped with a rich variety of trees, plants and well maintained lawns.

The estate’s environment is truly remarkable for its lush greenery, open spaces and generously spaced roads; particularly bearing in mind its proximity to Croydon’s amenities. Constructed in the sixties, the estate features 3 types of light and airy houses; three storey roof-terrace town houses, three storey flat roof town house and two storey houses with a garden.

Like many of the estates in the Park Hill area, the Brownborne Estate is managed by a limited company run by volunteer resident directors who are elected on an annual basis.

East Croydon railway serves most of London’s main line stations, including Victoria, London Bridge and St Pancras International; it also serves Gatwick, Brighton and other stations on the south coast.
